Effective user access management ensures that the right people have the appropriate permissions within Materiality Master to conduct a double materiality assessment in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). The platform offers two levels of access control allowing flexible and secure collaboration:
- Company-Level Access and
- Assessment-Level Access.
1. Company-Level Access Management
At the company level, users have access to all assessments within the organization. Here is how you can navigate to the User Management section:
- Select the correct company.
- Click “Add User”.
- Enter the name and email of the user.
- Assign a role:
- Admin: Has all rights incl. inviting other users, changing assessment settings such as materiality thresholds.
- Editor: Can edit assessments, add or modify IROs.
- Viewer: Can only view assessments (ideal for auditors).
- To remove access, simply revoke the user’s permissions or delete the user.
🚀 Note: If a company has multiple organizations, their access is completely separate—users from Company A won’t automatically have access to Company B. The same applies to consulting firms using the materiality assessment software for multiple clients. It is very easy to add a company to your Materiality Master account.
2. Assessment-Level Access Management
For more granular control, access can be customized per assessment.
- Open the assessment settings (gear icon).
- Click on “Access Control”.
- Add a user’s name and email.
- Choose whether they get full access or restricted access to specific sections.
- Restrictions can be set at multiple levels:
- Entire assessment
- Specific topics (e.g., S1 on Workforce)
- Sub-Topics (e.g., Working Conditions) or Sub-Sub-Topics
- Individual Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities (IROs)
3. Unlimited Collaboration
Materiality Master has no limits on the number of users you can invite to conduct your CSRD double materiality assessment – collaboration is always included, regardless of team size!
